What is tantric massage?
It depends entirely on who you ask — and that’s the problem. The term gets used for two very different things. This is an honest explanation of what genuine tantric massage actually is, what a real session involves, and what it is not.
The genuine practice
In its real, traditional form, tantric massage is a slow, conscious, deeply intentional form of touch drawn from tantric and somatic traditions. Its purpose is healing and presence: helping the body release stored tension, settle an activated nervous system, and reconnect with itself after long stretches of stress, grief, numbness, or disconnection.
It is consent-led from start to finish, oriented entirely around the receiver, and closer in spirit to somatic bodywork, breathwork, and energy work than to anything else. Nothing is rushed. The pace belongs to the person receiving.
Is tantric massage sexual?
A great deal of what is marketed as “tantric massage” or “tantra massage” online is, in fact, sexual. That has created a lot of confusion. Genuine tantric work is not sexual — and the work offered here certainly isn’t.
Luca does not offer sexual services, erotic massage, genital touch, kissing, or any form of sexual exchange. Touch, when it is included at all, is one-way, for the client’s benefit, never reciprocal, and always consent-led, intentional, respectful, and focused on emotional safety, embodiment, and healing. If sexual services are what you’re after, this isn’t the right fit.
What a real session involves
With Luca — a Somatic Tantra & Breathwork Facilitator on Long Island — a session begins with a grounding conversation: safety, intentions, and clear boundaries before anything else. From there it unfolds at your pace, weaving conscious breathwork, somatic awareness, energy work, nervous-system regulation, and, when welcomed and agreed upon, grounding non-sexual conscious touch.
It suits open-minded individuals and couples drawn to genuine healing and embodiment, regardless of experience. Sessions are held in a private wellness studio in the Babylon area, serving Long Island.
